ORIGINAL VERSION We had a lovely stay with a private bathroom which was wonderful. It was a pity the campsite was so far out from Lake Como as it was a little walk up to the bus stop. We wished the buses had run more frequently. If you missed the 8.25am you had quite a wait until the next. The staff were fantastic. The site was lovely and peaceful and has a lovely pool. The pizza in the restaurant was divine but not much choice other than pizzas.TRADUZIONE Abbiamo avuto un bel soggiorno con un bagno privato che era meraviglioso. Era un peccato il campeggio era così lontano dal lago di Como come era una piccola passeggiata fino alla fermata dell'autobus. Avremmo voluto gli autobus hanno funzionato più spesso. Lo staff era fantastico. Il sito era bello e tranquillo e ha una bella piscina. La pizza nel ristorante era divina, ma non molta scelta oltre le pizze.

A maggio abbiamo affittato il bungalow Rosso, costruito in mattoni e con un prato esterno. La tranquillità del campeggio e la cortesia del personale sono state estremamente piacevoli. Abbiamo potuto goderci il sole sulla sedia a sdraio, con il canto degli uccelli, e quando pioveva potevamo tenerci al caldo grazie a un riscaldatore ausiliario e a un caminetto con soffiatore, che si accendeva e manteneva acceso il fuoco con estrema facilità. L'abbondanza di spazio rende il bungalow molto pratico e piacevole, peccato solo che lo spazio che porta dalla cucina al soggiorno sia leggermente stretto. Situato in posizione strategica a una distanza ragionevole da Bergamo, Varese e dal Lago di Lugano, questo campeggio a conduzione familiare ci ha permesso di visitare tutte le sponde del Lago di Como, che è tanto bello con il sole abbagliante quanto quando le nuvole si aggrappano alle montagne.

ORIGINAL VERSION The campsite was very nice for family, friends and we enjoyed a lot! Location is central between many sightseeing opportunities. The service was great! They helped us to go and check things we didn’t know beforehand, like Acquafraggia waterfalls and a wine tasting nearby. Good swimming pool, nice restaurant and of course the Passarini cocktail. The city Como is romantic in the evening and beautiful on its own. ORIGINAL VERSION: A very nice experience, we stayed for 3 nights. The guys at the reception were very kind and comprehensive. We were lucky and surrounded by nice people (Italians and Germans). The showers and the toilets were clean and not crowded. The camping place is provided with a playground for kids and a nice swimming pool. The price is right for all the advantages that you will get! We komen hier voor de 2de keer en we zijn terug zeer vriendelijk ontvangen. Mooie wandeling met de hond naar het meer. We hebben richtlijnen gekregen in de camping. We komen terug in juli!! ORIGINAL REVIEW DUTCH: Wij komen net terug van een heerlijke vakantie bij Camping Montorfano. We hadden een ruime campingplaats met schaduw. We mochten zelf een plek uitkiezen. Wij hadden vertraging en kwamen daardoor paar dagen later aan, zeer gastvrij ontvangen. Toiletgebouwen worden netjes onderhouden en zien er goed uit. Zwembad mooi en netjes en een lekker muziekje erbij. Camping bestaat het merendeel uit italianen, dat vonden wij heerlijk. Geen overvolle hollandse camping. Je kreeg veel tips bij de receptie over uitstapjes, restaurant, fietsroutes etc. Ze zijn allemaal zeer behulpzaam en aardig. Milaan, Bellagio, Brunate, Lecco allemaal mooie plaatsjes om te bezoeken. Camping is huisdiervriendelijk!ENGLISH TRANSLATION: We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Camping Montorfano. We had a spacious camping pitch with shade. ORIGINAL REVIEW IN DUTCH: Leuke echt italiaanse camping, waar we voor de eerste keer zijn geweest. Dat er ook vaste plekken zijn volgebouwd op de italiaanse wijze stoort mij dus helemaal niet. Juist dat meerdere generaties dan samen recreeren vind ik mooi om te zien. De aandacht die de oudjes krijgen is vertederend. Nederlandse families kunnen daar een voorbeeld aan nemen. Het zwembad en saniir zijn tip en erg schoon.en ook het restaurant is prima, eenvoudig maar dan ook niet duur.Personeel is erg behulpzaam en spreekt ook engels en dat is fijn. De prijs kwaliteit is top, dus wij komen zekerterugTRANSLATION ENGLISH: Nice real Italian campsite, where we have been for the first time. ORIGINAL REVIEW IN DUTCH: Hartelijke ontvangst. Camping zelf is wat rommelig, maar er wordt gewerkt om het beter te maken. Nieuw toiletgebouw met nette douches en toiletten. Leuk zwembad. Eten te krijgen in het restaurant, waar ook broodjes te koop zijn. Prima voor doorreis of een paar dagen.ENGLISH TRANSLATION: Warm welcome. Camping itself is a bit messy, but work is being done to make it better. New toilet block with neat showers and toilets. Nice pool. Get food in the restaurant, where sandwiches are also for sale. We really enjoyed our stay a lot! The staff is really nice and helpful whatever you need and we can totally recommend the campsite for camping with kids :))The lake is within walking distance and there is a bus going to Como from where you can do great day trips!We ll come again :)

With in 30 minuten you can reach Como by bike. Returning with the cable train is perfect. Two brothers are working so hard to renovate the camping. The staff is so nice and helpfull. There is still work to be fine, but we liked it very much. Nothing is too much. They gave us a lot of information and good suggestions. We plannen to stay 1 night, but we stayed for three nights.

I am very happy that we came in this place. The staff was very kind, place is so close to Como and twice cheaper than hotels in the city, if you have a car it's so easy to visit Como if you stay here. The place is quiet, in the Tent there is a fridge, electric stove so you can cook whatever you want. You find plates, pots and all other things you need. Place is very nice, clean bathrooms and showers. If you want to visit Como but don't want to spend a fortune and stay closed in a hotel room this place is perfect. They even have a pool and a bar restaurant.

Very good value place to stay for a night during a long trip. The toilettes are shared but clean, the tent-homes are very nice. Highly recommend for short stays.

The campsite is located in small town with a lovely town center. The Maxi Tent, in which we stayed is a nice alternative to a hostel or apartment. The communication with the owner was excellent. Public bathroom / shower room were clean

De kampeerplaatsen zijn heel ruim en met veel schaduw (achteraan de camping). Het nieuwe sanitair is mooi en schoon. Prima zwembad en leuk restaurantje. 's Avonds heel rustig. Campingbaas Matteo is heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Prima locatie voor uitstapjes naar Como, Bellagio, Milaan, Brunate etc. ENGLISH TRANSLATION: We had a wonderful week at camping Montorfano.
